Answers in under a second, 24/7

Every missed call is a job someone else got.

TradeFlow answers the phone when you’re up a ladder, under a floor, or on a roof. It takes the details, books the job into your diary, and texts the customer to confirm — before your competitor picks up.

The problem

The work is already coming to you.

You're just not there to pick it up.

You can't answer with your hands full

You're on a job, driving between calls, or it's 9pm. The phone rings out and the customer rings the next firm on the list.

Callbacks come too late

Eight in ten people who need a trade call more than one number. Whoever answers first usually gets the work.

Receptionists are expensive and go home

£25,000 a year, plus holiday and sick pay, and still nobody covers evenings, weekends or bank holidays.

Every trade

It knows your trade, not just your name

Pick yours. These are the real questions it asks and the real jobs it prices.

What it asks a caller

  • “Has the whole property lost power, or just part of it?”
  • “Have you tried resetting the trip switch on the consumer unit?”
  • “Is anything sparking, hot to touch, or smelling of burning?”

Questions one of your electricians would ask — not a generic script.

Jobs it can price and book

  • Power loss or fuse board faultEmergency£120–300
  • Socket or switch replacement£80–160
  • Full or partial rewire£2000–7500
  • EV charger installation£800–1400
  • EICR safety certificate£150–300

How it works

Live by the end of your tea break

No new hardware. No new number to give out. No training.

01

Forward your number

Set your existing line to divert when you don't pick up — or when it's out of hours. Takes about two minutes with your phone provider.

02

Tell it about your business

Your services, prices, opening hours and patch. Paste in your own script if you've written one, or start from ours.

03

It answers and books

It picks up in under a second, works out what's wrong, checks your real diary, and books the slot. Emergencies go straight through to you.

04

You see it all in the morning

Every call written up for you, every job on your list, every customer saved. Nothing to type up.

Features

Built for trades, not for call centres

The difference is in the details a generic answering service gets wrong.

It knows what counts as an emergency

A burst pipe doesn't get an appointment for Thursday. Neither does a lock-out or a live fuse board. Each trade has its own urgent words — sparking, no heat, locked out, water coming in — and those calls go straight through to you.

Speaks your trade, out of the box

26 trades, each with real intake questions, job types and price ranges loaded from day one. A roofer gets asked about storeys and pitch; a locksmith gets asked if anyone's inside.

Books into your real diary

It checks genuine availability against your opening hours and existing jobs, offers two slots, and never double-books. It cannot invent a time.

Your customer list fills itself in

Who called, what they need, what you quoted, what they have spent with you. Every call becomes a record without anyone typing it up.

Confirmation texts, automatically

The customer gets a text with the time and reference the moment the call ends. Fewer no-shows, fewer 'what time were you coming?' calls.

Proof it's paying for itself

See exactly how many calls became bookings and what that work is worth. Revenue recovered, in pounds, on one screen.

It never makes things up

Prices come from your list, slots from your diary. Every call is recorded and transcribed so you can check what was said.

The maths

Work out what it’s worth

Most trade businesses miss between ten and thirty calls a week without realising. At an average job value of a few hundred pounds, that adds up faster than almost any other leak in the business.

Thanks for calling Meridian Trades, this is Alex — how can I help?

  • SW

Half the house has lost power and the trip keeps going.

  • AI

Right, that sounds urgent. Has the whole property gone, or just part of it?

  • SW

    Just downstairs. Upstairs is fine.

  • AI

And is anything sparking, hot to touch, or smelling of burning?

  • SW

    No, nothing like that.

  • AI

Good, that's reassuring. Can I take your name?

  • SW

    Sarah Whitfield.

  • AI

Thanks Sarah. Best number to reach you on?

  • SW

Oh seven nine one one, two two three three four four.

  • AI

That's oh seven nine one one, double two, double three, double four — right?

  • SW

There's a driveway, and yes I'm working from home.

  • AI

Perfect. I can have an electrician with you between 2 and 4 today. Shall I book that in?

  • SW

    Yes please, that'd be brilliant.

  • AI

Booked. You'll get a text confirming it. Leave that circuit off until he's there.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Straight answers, no sales waffle.

How does the free trial work?
Fourteen days from the day you sign up, and we don't ask for a card to start it. You can pick a plan whenever you like during those fourteen days — you still won't be charged until the trial's original end date, so choosing early costs you nothing and doesn't shorten anything. If you do nothing, the trial simply stops. There's no card on file, so there's nothing to cancel and nothing to be charged for.
Does it actually know my trade?
Yes — 26 of them, each with its own intake questions, job types and price ranges. An electrician's caller gets asked whether the whole property has lost power; a roofer's gets asked how many storeys. Pick your trade at signup and it's configured before you've finished your brew. Everything is editable afterwards.
Will customers know it's not a person?
Most don't notice, and the ones who ask get a straight answer — it says so plainly rather than pretending. What matters to a caller with a leak is that someone picked up and sorted it.
What if it can't handle the call?
It transfers to you or whoever you nominate. For genuine emergencies it does that immediately, before taking any other details. If nobody's available it takes a full message rather than letting the caller go.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Keep the number on your van and your website. You just divert it to TradeFlow when you can't answer — either always, on no-answer, or out of hours.
Can it quote prices?
It gives the ranges you set and is explicitly told never to invent a figure or commit to a final price. It always says whoever turns up confirms on site before work starts.
I already use software for my jobs — does this replace it?
TradeFlow keeps track of your customers and jobs itself, so you may not need anything else. If you use Jobber, we're building a direct export for the Firm plan.
How long does setup really take?
About five minutes for the account and script, plus however long your phone provider takes to set up diverting. Most people are answering calls the same day.

Your phone is ringing right now.
